REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS PROVISION OF SCHOOL MAXI TAXI SERVICES (CONCESSIONAIRE) ON BEHALF OF THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICE CORPORATION
Persons are hereby invited to apply to become Independent Contractors (Concessionaires) for the provision of School Maxi Taxi Services to the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) on behalf of the Ministry of Education (MOE) throughout Trinidad, for a period of one (1) year.
JOB SUMMARY:
Persons are hereby invited to apply to become Independent Contractors (Concessionaires) for the provision of School Maxi Taxi Services to the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) on behalf of the Ministry of Education (MOE) throughout Trinidad, for a period of one (1) year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Concessionaires will be required to provide a point-to-point service, involving the pickup of primary and secondary students, at designated locations in Trinidad, to transport them to their assigned schools as approved by the MOE. The service will be required Monday to Friday and will involve the return of students from the assigned schools to the designated locations daily.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The PTSC, as the Administrator of the service on behalf of the MOE is entrusted with the responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students utilising the School Maxi Taxi Service, and as such interested applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- Must be a National of Trinidad and Tobago between the ages of 25 to 65 years; and must have at least six (6) years driving experience;
- Must possess a valid maxi taxi badge and Trinidad and Tobago drivers permit;
- Must be the owner of a maxi taxi which has been deemed roadworthy by the Licensing Authority and would be required to undergo an inspection by the PTSC;
- Must possess valid vehicular insurance;
- Must provide a valid Certificate of Character from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service;
- Must submit a Certificate of Medical Fitness issued by a registered Medical Practitioner no older than three (3) months; and
- Must submit a minimum of two (2) references.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Must be a National of Trinidad and Tobago between the ages of 25 to 65 years; and must have at least six (6) years driving experience;
